Manchester Airport All Set for the New Routes!

Next year, Biman Bangladesh & Air Baltic will be resuming flights to Manchester Airport. Three flights will be operated in a week by Bangladeshi flight carrier between Dhaka and Manchester since January 4. Two –class B787 Dreamliner aircraft will be used for this purpose. On its return from Manchester, the service will be going to route via the Sylhet.

Previously, Biman was operating from Manchester till 2012, offering Dhaka, Manchester-New York service.

The Mayor of Manchester expressed his happiness over these new routes and commented that this direct connection between Dhaka and Manchester will bring a lot of trade, cultural and education benefits. It will also benefit a lot of Bangladeshis who are residing in Manchester due to their educational and professional needs.

In 2020 Air Baltic is all set to resume its route from Riga, the Latvian capital to Manchester airport, commencing on 29 March. Four flights per week will be operated from Riga. Previously, Air Baltic was serving the route till 2010.

Air Baltic CEO, Martin Gauss, while commenting on this route said that Riga being the dynamic city and a business hub, has a lot to offer for both business and leisure travellers. He added that due to these routes, passengers can easily travel to both cities at much affordable ticket prices either in economy or business class.  The new and comfortable A220-300 Airbus will serve the route.

At the moment, the Manchester-Riga route is being operated by Ryanir.
